MASOOR DALL - 1Kg

I soaked these for Navratri-style kala chana and was very happy with the texture. Soft enough to eat comfortably but still with a nice bite. The simple cumin and ginger seasoning tasted lovely.

Soaked the chickpeas overnight for chole and they plumped up really well. After pressure cooking they became creamy inside without the skins all falling apart. My chole turned out excellent.
